Ainadamar is inspired by the confrontation between poet Federico Garcia Lorca and the Fascist regime during the Spanish Civil War. Under the baton of Nicole Paiement, in a production conceived and directed by Brian Staufenbiel, this fiery opera artfully combines singing, visual arts (with new video mapping technology) and flamenco.

The cast includes soprano Marnie Breckenridge as Margarita Xirgu, mezzo-soprano Lisa Chavez as Federico Garcia Lorca, and soprano Maya Kherani as Nuria.

We’re very much looking forward to seeing you there!
